Hey Fellow DIY’ers, my name is Mike Hansen. I work full time as a Site Superintendent for a mid-sized general contractor in the greater Boston area.

 

I am a commissioned infantry officer in the Massachusetts National Guard as well. I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and commissioned through the Northeastern University ROTC program.

 

I began DIY projects when I realized I was spending way too much money on furniture for my apartment. This furniture was clearly mass produced and made from cheap materials and wasn’t fitting into my vision for my living space. My drive comes from my realization that anyone can imagine a custom creation, but it takes drive and passion to build it so they can consume it. 

 

I hope to inspire you to go out and create your own personalized space and in the end be proud of your custom creations.
